I’m a comedy reviewer based in North Notts, who is free to attend shows four days out of every eight. I’ve got a varied taste in comedy and whilst certain things aren’t my cup of tea, that doesn’t mean that other people won’t enjoy them. So far I have only seen one act that I would describe as dreadful, which I am really pleased about.

  1. Hi, We run a comedy club in Rhyl North Wales. The Club was created because of the serious lack of venues where aspiring comedy talent, can get stage time or try new material without travelling to liverpool or beyond. The Club is run by comedians for comedians, and we strive to create an inclusive positive atmosphere for all. The Club is in its fourth month, with an audience, following and reputation that is constantly growing. We do our best to ensure our acts receive a percentage of the door takings to at least make sure they have petrol money to get home. Each night features 8 comedians, and a featured MC, with acts doing 5 mins for those new to comedy, to 20 for the more estsblished. Our venue is a purpose built theatre from the 1960s, which is run and maintained by its team of volunteers, who without them the night could not happen.
The feedback from both our acts and our audience has been warm and extremely positive, inspiring us to continue nurturing and promoting it.
What we do need are reviews in order to increase awareness of the Club, and to work towards status as a known part of the comedy circuit in the North West.
If you have the time resources, we would be very grateful if you could attend one of our comedy nights.
